PROLOGUE
Near the beginning of time, on the 8th day after the creation of the universe, a band of unlikely heroes emerged to protect and save the earth from destruction with the power of the almighty Kazoo. With this power they cleansed the earth using the celestial melodies billowing forth from the ancient musical weapon. With the Earth saved and their work seemingly finished, our heroes sealed themselves away in magical ice, frozen in time to return when the world needed saving once again.
YEARS 2010-2019
The time for glory soon came thousands of years later as global warming thawed the heroes from their icy prisons. They saw a land desecrated by evil and a supreme lack of creativity. Unfortunately the ancient Kazoo had been stolen from the ice many years before by raiders and scavengers who traded or sold it to those who knew not of its sacred power. History became legend. Legend became myth. Soon the Kazoo passed out of all knowledge. The fate of the great Kazoo was not their only misfortune, for many of the original companions met their doom at the hands of battle, drifted across the ocean while frozen, or simply went their separate ways. Despite the great loss, onward they fought to free the world in captivity, rebranding themselves to the current times as America's greatest superhero protectors.
THE QUARANTINE
Eventually a mysterious virus swept over the land and the heroes locked themselves away deep underground. Digging endlessly within the Earth they discovered a vast wealth of Americonium, the world's strongest and most durable of metals. With chaos engulfing the land above, the heroes labored tirelessly day and night to upgrade their equipment and craft an arsenal of new material.
2021
After their triumphant return to the surface, more powerful than ever before, the band reunited with some of the other great warriors of the past who thawed and found their way home. With a celestial energy radiating from the upgraded weapons, armor, and newly forged kazoos, the heroes resumed their ancient quest to protect the earth from all evil lurking in the shadows.
WASHINGTON'S WAR (2023 - 1776)
Plethora fought tirelessly day and night in their quest to liberate the earth from tyranny. In the midst of victorious battle came a call from the void across time and space. Emanating from the smoke emerged a glowing portal and out stepped forth none other than the legendary George Washington himself, holding the ancient kazoo lost to the ages. It appeared as though the presence of the heroes in the future sent a ripple into the past, calling to the mystical artifact which yearned to reunite with its former wielders. Washington proclaimed that the kazoo which he possessed led him to the heroes after he prayed for help to win the war against Great Britain. Though Plethora knew outcome of the war, they could not turn down an opportunity to put the Brits in their place even harder. Joining forces, the heroes led a magnificent fleet of patriot pirates to victory, sinking nearly 1,000 ships with the power of the kazoo. But lo, in the climax of the final battle against the British fleet inside a hurricane, Plethora was forced to ram their mighty vessel into the flagship of Great Britain to finish it off once and for all, pushing it into a forsaken whirlpool. Plethora's ship soon met the same tragic fate, for in the chaos the kazoo was also lost to the ocean depths, but not before emitting one last portal to send the heroes back to the future.
JOURNEY INTO HELL (2026)
A FARSE! Plethora had been deceived! For at the climax of the battle against Great Britain, the mystic portal that was to return to them to the future had sent them screaming straight into the depths of Hell itself. Emerging from the portal, the heroes found themselves face to face with a conflagrated landscape, surrounded by demons and creatures most vile. Disoriented and bewildered, the band gazed upon a burning fortress in the distance, where atop a mighty parapet stood none other than Satan himself, the very evil they seemingly defeated in the wars shortly after the 8th day! As the heroes staggered to their feet, Satan's voice roared over the hellscape opening cracks in the ground. “FOOLS!” he proclaimed! “For an eternity I have waited to take vengeance against those who nearly vanquished me so many ages ago! Twas I who allowed your precious president to discover the Kazoo of Old, but not before bestowing a curse of my own upon it, forcing you into my realm where my power is at its paramount! Now my minions, rain down the wrath of Hell!”
A battle erupted between the living and the dead. Demons, hellbeasts, and undead swarmed the already depleted band of heroes. Swords and claws clashed, teeth gnash. But not even in a weakened state did the resilience of the heroes falter. Though the Americonium Kazoo had little effect against the creatures so close to the source of their demonic power, one blast like a mighty war horn sent a rejuvenating wave across the battlefield, restoring the band to full power. “RIP AND TEAR!” proclaimed The Freedomator. Multiple battles lasted for days until the endless waves of hellspawn finally met their eternal doom at the hands of Plethora. Satan and his castle guards were all that remained.
Fighting their way through the last stand of the demon army, Plethora pushed the enemy back over the draw bridge to the grand fortress. After taking the courtyard and clearing multiple towers, the heroes stormed the great hall where Satan sat upon a throne of bones. In a panicked move, Satan opened a portal to escape. But just as he lunged into the void, the Captain blew his kazoo, altering the portal destination. The Devil suddenly shot forth from the portal into a colossal heap of ice and snow. For he did not arrive in another plane of Hell, but that of Hell Michigan, and Hell had frozen over. Plethora sprung forth from the portal, ready to eliminate Satan once and for all.
In an act of desperation, the Devil proposed they settle this matter over a legendary Kazoo Battle, to which the Freedomator confidently accepted, their souls pitted against a golden Kazoo. After a grueling duel of melodies, the Devil eventually conceded. He laid the golden Kazoo on the ground beneath the Captain’s feet. Satan’s defeated look soon twisted into a sinister smile. He proclaimed “You may have bested me again, but you haven't seen the last of me”! Cackling until he coughed, Satan opened a portal and jumped through within an instant. The golden Kazoo was later cleansed of it's curse, allowing for use of its mystic powers! The heroes anxiously awaited for the foreshadowed threat to arrive.
